From our youngest dynamos to our minor county stars, it was another cracking Saturday of football and fun across the Syls family!
2017 Boys (U8) set the tone early, with Pods 1 and 3 hosting St. Brigid’s and Erin’s Isle at home, and a crew travelling to St. Oliver Plunkett’s. The boys brought fearless tackling, smart scores, and sky-high energy—football full of flair and fun! 🔵🟢
2015 Girls (U10) were on tour, visiting neighbours Naomh Mearnóg and St. Finians, Swords. And wow—what a show they put on! One mentor called it a “hand passing masterclass”, and with scores galore and non-stop smiles, it’s easy to see why. 💚💙🤸♀️
2015 Boys weren’t sitting still either—Syls 1 took on Kilmacud Crokes away, while Syls 2 welcomed Wanderers to Broomfield. Both groups impressed with their teamwork, energy, and great decision-making on the ball. Big shoutout to the coaches too for guiding the madness so well! 🔵🟢
2014 Boys (U11) rolled deep—over 70 players across two squads and six teams took to the fields this morning. From start to finish, it was a showcase of hard work, sharp skills, and proper Syls determination.
2013 Boys (U12 T1) kept their Div 1 grading game win streak alive with another strong performance—this time away to Round Towers (C). That’s three out of three, and plenty to be proud of. Tough conditions? No problem for this crew!
2010 Girls (U15 A team) got the job done in Cheevers Field with a solid win over Ballyboden St Enda’s in Division 1. After a tight first half battling the wind, they turned on the style in the second half to take the points home. Composure, class, and teamwork—this squad has it all.
And closing us out, our Minor Syls lads repped the club in blue as Dublin saw off Offaly in the Electric Ireland Leinster Championship with a strong 5-10 (25) to 3-7 (16) win. Class performances and another step forward in their campaign. Syls pride on full display!
Another jam-packed, joy-filled Saturday in the books. Same again next week? Of course. Syls Abu !
