It was another bumper weekend of Championship action for Syls with our senior, intermediate, junior and juvenile sides all in the thick of it.
Senior Men
At Parnell Park, 🔵 Syls senior footballers faced a huge challenge against Kilmacud Crokes. Despite a spirited performance and some well-taken scores, Syls fell short with Crokes showing their firepower to take the points, 2-23 to 1-14.
Intermediate Men
In Broomfield on Saturday night, 🔵 Syls intermediate side battled hard but came up against a strong St Judes outfit. The visitors took control in the second half and won out 3-15 to 2-7.
Junior Men
Plenty of action across our junior ranks:
Junior A were in Broomfield against Round Towers, falling 2-10 to 0-13.
Junior B (our 4th team) travelled to Ballyogan and came away 🟢 with a fine victory over Geraldine P Moran’s, 3-15 to 0-17. Goals from Jack Brady, Dylan O’Rourke and Paul Downey proved the difference.
Junior C (our 5th team) edged a thriller at home against Man O’War 🟢, 1-9 to 1-8, with Callum Smith bagging the decisive goal. Brilliant day all round for our 4ths and 5ths!
U16 Boys (2009s)
All three teams opened their Championship campaigns this weekend:
