We’re now well into the championship season, and the stakes are rising week by week as results and group outcomes begin to land across the club.

Wednesday, 17th September

  • Senior Ladies Football – A Championship
  • A massive congrats to the senior ladies who won their group last Wednesday night in the A championship—a brilliant achievement and true testament to the team's hard work and spirit!

Saturday, 20th September

  • Senior 1 Club Football Championship
  • Thomas Davis 4-19 v 1-18 St Sylvesters
Plenty of attacking football on show, but our seniors came up short. This result means the squad will play Senior 2 next year. Championship preparations in the league were often disrupted by injuries and key absences, but these lads will be giving their all to bounce back next season.

  • Intermediate All County Football Championship Group 2
  • St Sylvesters 2-17 v 1-11 Ballinteer St Johns
The inters secured their first win—great effort and teamwork! However, with results elsewhere, a relegation play-off could now be on the horizon. The team will need everyone behind them as they dig deep for the next test.

Sunday, 21st September

  • Junior 2 All County Football Championship Group 4
  • Lucan Sarsfields 1-20 v 1-9 St Sylvesters
Lucan finished strong but plenty of spirit from our juniors, who kept battling.

  • Junior 5 All County Football Championship Group 3 (Our 4th Team)
  • St Brendans 1-9 v 4-18 St Sylvesters
What a performance from Syls’ fourth team! Everyone is delighted as they topped the group with style. A hat-trick of goals from Micheal McCarthy and another green flag from Eoin Carey set the tone, with two points each from other players and a sensational six points coming off the bench. The squad’s depth and hunger shone through, reflecting brilliant teamwork and club pride.

  • Junior 6 North All County Football Championship Group 4
  • St Sylvesters 1-10 v 3-6 Craobh Chiarain
A close match, with Syls fighting to the very end—fantastic determination.

  • Minor A Hurling Championship Group 3
  • St Sylvesters 0-10 v 0-20 Kilmacud Crokes
Minors showed flashes of real potential against a strong Crokes, and there’s plenty more to come.

  • Minor D Hurling Championship Group 3
  • St Sylvesters 1-6 v 5-24 Castleknock
Castleknock proved too strong, but credit to Syls for fighting to the last whistle.

Monday, 22nd September – Upcoming

  • Minor A Ladies Football
  • Our Minor A ladies travel to Lucan (12th Lock) tonight looking for their first win in championship. Best of luck to the team—let’s get out and support them!

There’s still plenty of action to come across all codes, and every result matters as we move through championship season. Thanks to players, coaches, families and everyone supporting the teams week in, week out.
